Together we are working to make a tremendous impact in our neighborhoods.
In Hollywood, we have an ordinance in place to calm the circus-like atmosphere on the Walk of Fame and bans tour bus ticket sales on the public right of way.
At Echo Park Lake, we have revitalized the park, enabling Angelenos to have a high quality experience. The boat house on the lake will be fully restored once it is restored to its historic and original color.
We also have some great momentum going on the Los Angeles River to restore the natural habitat and revitalize key points along the crown jewel of our great City.
All the while -- we’ve been cleaning our neighborhoods and making them shine.
We’re taking pride in our neighborhoods -- block by block and across the great 13th District -- and this is so important to me.
I want to invite you to join me as a volunteer as we take pride in our neighborhoods.
Since I was sworn into office on July 1, Team Mitch has organized close to a dozen community cleanup events throughout the district. During the 100 Day celebration, volunteers with Team Mitch were in every corner of the district. We filled dozens of bags of trash, and packed several trucks and vans.
I have been approached by many people asking how they can get involved in the next community cleanup. I would like to start compiling a list of potential volunteers so that we can notify you about the next opportunity. You can add your name to the list and join Team Mitch.
Together we are making a difference by taking pride in our neighborhoods and creating an even better place to live, work, recreate, and do business with in the City of Angels.
