I am proud to announce that the great 13th Council District has a two-person Clean Team that will work with my field deputies one day a week in each of their respective areas.
Through a partnership with the Los Angeles Conservation Corps, the newest members of Team Mitch will be equipped with a pickup truck and hand tools, as well as a weed trimmer, leaf blower, and a power lawn mower. The volunteers will work throughout the District a total of five days a week. The partnership will also include a three-person crew dedicated to the Los Angeles River.
The volunteers will help address one of my top priorities - improving the look and feel of our neighborhoods by cleaning up sidewalks, gutters and tree wells. The crew will also perform light tree pruning, clean public stairways, and remove bulky items and graffiti.
If you see an area that needs some TLC, please reach out to one of the following field deputies, along with a photo of the area in need of cleaning.

In addition, I would also like to encourage all residents to utilize the City’s MyLA311 SmartPhone app. The technology is a great way to use your GPS device to send requests for bulky item pick up and graffiti removal. The app can be downloaded on iTunes and Google Play stores.
Working together, we can make the great 13th Districts one of the best in the City of Angels!
