Staff members for Los Angeles City Councilmember Mitch O'Farrell continue to improve the overall look and feel of our neighborhoods through weekly cleanup efforts across the 13th District.
This week in Hollywood, CD13 community organizer Sylvan De La Cruz worked with two resident volunteers to trim trees on the west side of St Andrews Place.
De La Cruz, Jose Melendez, and Hilario Perez trimmed the trees that had low-hanging branches. Thanks to their work, pedestrians and City sweepers can now pass with ease, and motorists can see the traffic and parking enforcement signs. Here is an before and after photo.
In Historic Filipinotown, De La Cruz worked with field deputy Angelo Yenko and constituent advocate Hector Vega to clean an area off Beverly Blvd.
Team Mitch was responding to a call from a constituent about overgrown tree limbs blocking access to parking. Team Mitch took care of the problem and also performed a quick cleanup of debris along the street. This is an area of Beverly Blvd between Benton Way and La Fayette Park Pl.
The Councilmember and his team are out in the district weekly to take care of our streets. Here's another cleanup - this one in East Hollywood.
