HOLLYWOOD -- The City of Los Angeles is preparing itself for the 88th Oscars! In an effort to mitigate increased traffic in the area and to ensure public safety, the City of Los Angeles Department of Transportation (LADOT) has finalized street closures for the following areas.
Street closure plans around the Dolby Theatre™ at Hollywood & Highland Center® in Hollywood:
- Sunday February 21, 10 p.m. through Tuesday March 1, 6 a.m.: Hollywood Boulevard between Highland Avenue and Orange Drive
- Saturday February 27, 6 a.m. through Monday February 29, 6 a.m.: MTA subway trains will bypass the Hollywood & Highland station after the last regularly scheduled train. Service at the station will resume with the first scheduled train after 6 a.m.
- Sunday February 21 through Sunday February 28: Additional streets and sidewalks will be closed for varying periods. Details of the closures and maps of affected areas are available on the Academy’s website at www.oscars.org.
The 88th Oscars will be held on Sunday, February 28, 2016, at the Dolby Theatre® at Hollywood & Highland Center® in Hollywood, and will be televised live on the ABC Television Network at 7 p.m. ET/4 p.m. PT.
All the Oscar setup will be off of Hollywood Blvd by Tuesday, March 1 at 6 a.m.
