Those who enjoy spending time along the Los Angeles River will be happy to hear the Department of Transportation (LADOT) recently installed wayfinding signs.
This is great news -- the signs will provide Angelenos with a better sense of direction as they walk or ride their bikes along the River. The signs are also important from a public safety perspective if there is a need to contact 911 and provide your location during an emergency.
The Mountain Recreation and Conservation Authority (MRCA) was responsible for the design, planning, and production of the new signs that were placed along the Elysian Valley Bikeway. My office worked with LADOT on the installation.
The signs were produced using Prop 12 funds from the California Natural Resources Agency. Great work by all the community partners who made this happen!
