Council Paves Way for More Homeless Youth Services in Hollywood

UPDATE: Statement from Mark Supper, Los Angeles Youth Network

The City Council approved a motion Friday that will assist the Los Angeles Youth Network (LAYN) improve their services for homeless youth.

The motion, which was introduced by Councilmember Mitch O'Farrell, modifies significant City regulations so LAYN can purchase a new facility and consolidate their services in the Hollywood area.

"Los Angeles Youth Network thanks Councilmember Mitch O'Farrell for his leadership on this issue," said Mark Supper, Executive Director of LAYN. "We appreciate the support of the City Council and its commitment to ensure our homeless and foster youth have the services and housing they deserve that will allow them to have a brighter future."

The council action is consistent with O'Farrell's mission to find housing solutions for all populations including homeless youth.
